I'm Back!

No good deed goes unpunished.

That was a fun year - not!

I'd love to tell you what happened over the past year while I was working in a bureaucracy, for more than one boss, some visible, some invisible. but I'd rather stick a needle in my eye, as they say.

How about calling me up to come over and let me help relieve your computer headaches once again: 703-845-1556.

From Peter Blaise: Thank You ... And Goodbye!

To all my dear independent customers:

Thank you ... and goodbye!

Huh?

Let me explain: Thank you for supporting me and trusting me and paying me and making a difference in my life while allowing me to support you and get to know you and hopefully make a difference in your lives, too. We've been at this independent life 0f computer support for 20 years or so now, but it's over.

Over.

I've been offered a full time position with paid vacations, medical and retirement along with great pay and loads of work to do. I look forward to a totally different working universe, but I leave behind many wonderful years of independent service with you all, which I shall sorely miss.

On the one hand, I'd be happy to continue to support you getting up to speed with alternative avenues of service by offering my phone support - 703-845-1556 - and email - peterblaise@yahoo.com - to support you in your transition. If your new servicers have any questions that I can answer to make your computer lives most reliable, please contact me or have them contact me. And if you know of a great servicer, please write back here to share their references with my other customers - thanks!

On the other hand, I'll no longer be loading up my car for daily drives from Manassas to Baltimore, no longer endlessly shopping local and Internet vendors for best prices and availability on demand, so you must grow your own ways of supporting your computer needs that I will no longer be providing. Please know that I loved every minute of working with you all. However, I've been living hand-to-mouth for too many years with few of the normal overhead expenses - like a family, a house, retirement, medical, PAID taxes! But, it's time for me to renegotiate how I invest my time with an eye towards better preparing for the years ahead. That is why I took advantage of the opportunity to find a secure, life-long employer/employee relationship. I've found it, and I'm thrilled, but I will miss you all.

I never intended to work independent. I initially worked retail service for a variety of groups in the area, winning awards for high quality low prices, and earning rewards for reducing long service backlogs. However, in the unstable retail universe, every store I worked for is gone now! I survived them all. After 10 years of dancing between such stores, I went independent, and you all helped me survive!

Thank you for making it possible. Please share your experiences here - I'd love to hear from you, and so, too, probably would my other customers.

Love and hugs,
